Listen to us on BBC Radio Cumbria

This morning I took part in the Kevin Fernihoughs’ BBC Radio Cumbria Biz Quiz!

As part of his show he telephones two businesses who then have to answer as many general knowledge quiz questions as they can in 30 seconds.

I was really pleased to have won this mornings quiz by getting 6 out of 6 questions right.  (I was playing against Stuart who has a vintage clothes shop in Carlisle).

If you click on the following link (http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p02qx2zp) you can hear the whole show ….. or fast forward to 1:42 for the pre-amble interview with me and then 1:48 for the actual quiz. Continue reading “Listen to us on BBC Radio Cumbria”

Happy 5th Birthday – free Seasalt Jute Bag

We are five years old today!

On the 14th May 2010 I opened the shop,  at that time we were based at 68 Main Street.  Three and a half years later we moved to our new, larger premises at Packhorse Court.

I can honestly say that the time has flown by – and I have certainly learned a lot along the way!  We still focus on stocking British based brands and using companies with sound ethical production policies.

To mark the occasion and to say thank you to all our customers we are offering a FREE limited edition Seasalt jute back with every purchase over £10 (while stocks last!).

We’re going to the Keswick Mountain Festival!

Doris & Dude – Bamboo socks

D&D Trade Mark Jpeg

We are now official stockists of the Doris and Dude range of funky socks!

These fabulous socks are made from bamboo and cotton and so are wonderfully soft and easy to wear.  Doris and Dude is an ethical company who use natural products where possible.

The socks come in ladies size 3 to 7 and mens sizes 7 to 12.  We particularly love the sheep designs – perfect for Cumbria!  The mens socks with the VW campervans are also proving to be popular.
