To celebrate Keswick Market being 740 years old – making it the oldest continuous Market in the country – we are celebrating this Bank Holiday weekend with Pirate themed events.
In the courtyard we will be part of the treasure hunt as well as having Micky and Minnie Mouse, Stilt Walkers etc.
At 1:30pm there will be a pirate parade walking through the courtyard – so if you know of any Pirates or Princesses who want to take part please do join in. Goody bags will be given to everyone who enters.
The Moota Girls and Elvis will be singing in the courtyard.
FREE Candyfloss – for a couple of hours from 11am.
There is also face painting and colouring competions throughout the day.
We were really pleased that the A591 re-opened this morning – so once again Keswick is linked back with the rest of the Lake District.
Lots of businesses in Keswick are ‘twinning’ with ones in Grasmere – the idea is simple, we will promote their business and vice versa. We will even have an offer on between 13th and 20th May.
We were really pleased to be twinned with the Grasmere Chocolate Shop – Angela and Richard who own the business make the most amazing chocolates EVER! I went over to Grasmere this morning to visit them.

It is a great match since Angela is also a huge fan of our seasalt range of clothing and a regular in our shop.
