We would like to thank everyone who voted for us in the Keswick Live Advent Window 2018.
Everyday in advent a different window was ‘revealed’ and it was our turn on December 6th.
Grace from the shop did an amazingly creative job and made an Angel that looked like a stain glass window. It looked stunning and we received lots of lovely comments about it – especially when it was dark and lit up at night.
Keswick Tourism Association has announced that our window came second! George Fishers came first.
This Sunday, 2nd December, sees Keswick hosting its famous Victorian Fayre.
Santa will be visiting the Main Street with his Cairngorm Reindeer and will be arriving at 11.50am and will be there until 3.00pm.
All the local charities will be out raising money with Tombolas, Raffles and maybe even a Human Fruit Machine! There is plenty to see and do, and with the Lights on, there is nothing more atmospheric to herald in the Christmas Season.
We have a full programme running in Packhorse Court – so please do pop in and say hello!

It is Winter and the birds have flown south for the warmer weather but it looks as if some of them have decided to nest here for the Winter. So, gently open the door and welcome to our Aviary in Keswick …..
The Mistral Peacock Dress has strutted in showing off its beautiful detail on a soft jersey dress that has a slight v neck and is covered in a intricate pattern on a dark blue background with a rich colouring of dark pink, mustard and greens. It has a pleated waistband and long sleeves. This is a stunning dress to be seen in and would be an ideal dress for Christmas Day.
Also, gliding elegantly in from Mistral, is the Mistral Swan Dress. This dress is covered in a print of swans in peach, cream and green on a slate grey background. It has a detailed round neck, short sleeves and is fitted to the waist with two side pockets and falls to the knee. Mistral design their clothing with layering in mind, and this type of dress can be taken all the way through the year by wearing with a long sleeved t-shirt and cardigan. The extra plumage for this dress would be the Mistral Autumn Harvest T shirts in Deco Rose or Off White topped of with the Top Notch Cardi in Earth Red or the Gentle as a Cardi in Galway.
Thought Clothing have joined our nest with the Thought Vivienne Throw in Kingfisher. This lovely baggy cardigan is a must have this Autumn. Made from 85% Organic cotton with the last 15% being wool this is a long button-less cardigan. It has two patch pockets to the front and the edge is detailed with ribbing. This vibrant coloured bird can also be spotted on the Thought Jeanette Top and Thought Britta tights. Also, roosting with us, is the Thought Jay Leggings, an unusual but stylish pair of leggings that have a short skirt as part of their design. If that top that you want to wear is not just long enough this pair of clever Thought Jay leggings gives you extra length to your top to give comfort and style. Available in indigo and black.
Finally, Winter would not be the same without the Robin and this has settled down with us for the Winter in the Adini Robin Tunic. This classic Adini tunic comes in dark blue with a trellis work design of flowers in off white. It has long sleeves and a cowl neck. To the front there is a six tuck detail and it then pleats out from just under the bust to fall to just above the knee. There are two handy pockets to the front.
Bring your binoculars and see what other birds you can see joining us in store this winter and hopefully you may pick up a Mistral Penguin from us!
This Sunday, 3rd December 2017 sees the Annual Victorian Fayre come to Keswick. This is a free event and is sponsored by the Local Rotary Clubs, Keswick Lions and Packhorse Court. Events will be taking place throughout the day with Carol Singers, Ukelele Bands and the Belfgan Dancers performing in the Main Square and around the town. No Victorian Christmas Fayre would be complete without Santa and his reindeer and he will be in Main Street all day for you to visit.
There will be lots of stalls in the main market square raising money for their chosen charity. There will also be plenty of food stalls to buy coffee, lunch, mince pies, mulled wine, afternoon tea and candy floss! Come and make a day of it! Why not finish off by getting into the Christmas Spirit by visiting St John’s Church for their Advent Carol Service at 4.30pm.
Events in Packhorse Square are taking place as follows:-
